Good to know
In the northern hemisphere spring begins around 20 March; in the southern hemisphere around 22 September. Plant something together: a bean in a jar shows roots and shoots within days and turns any science lesson into something real.
Spring festivals happen all over the world, from Holi, the festival of colours, to Nowruz and Easter. Our Spring Celebrations activity book brings several together. Spring is also a lovely time for a weekly nature walk: visit the same tree or patch of garden each week and draw how it changes, from bare twigs to blossom to full green leaves.
How to use these
- Combine the journal page with a real growing experiment.
- Use drawing lessons for butterflies and bees before colouring.
- Print the spring activity book for the holidays.
