Science for Kids: Body, Weather, Space and Elements

  • Ages 4–16
  • Free to print
  • Many play on screen

Science starts with curiosity: why is the sky blue, what do bees do, where does the rain go? This collection covers the topics children ask about most, at different levels. Younger children will find word games about the body, weather and space, plus colouring and picture books about turtles, energy and the solar oven; older students get quizzes on the human body, the periodic table, physics, units and the solar system.

More about this collection

Pair a sheet with something real whenever you can: look at the moon after a space quiz, measure rain in a jar, count heartbeats after running. A five-minute experiment makes the words on the page mean something.

The science quizzes come in levels, roughly from late primary to the end of secondary school, so older students can use them for revision and younger ones can stretch themselves. Science vocabulary is often the hardest part, so the word searches and spelling games are a gentle first step before quizzes.

How to use these

  1. Do one small experiment or observation for each topic.
  2. Use word games to learn the vocabulary before the quiz.
  3. Older students: retry quizzes until you get full marks.
