More about this collection
Add a real-sky moment if you can: look for the moon together, notice whether it is round or a thin crescent, and spot the brightest “star”, which is often a planet. Older children can use the science quizzes to learn the order of the planets and why some are rocky and some are made of gas.
Space is also a great hook for maths: counting down from 10 for a launch, comparing the sizes of planets or calculating how long a trip to the moon would take at car speed.
How to use these
- Look at the night sky after a space activity.
- Learn the planets in order with a silly sentence.
- Try the Space Mission Maths book for sums with rockets.
