The Too-Big Pumpkin

Lucas and his two dads planted one little pumpkin seed. Every day, Lucas gave it water.

The pumpkin grew big. Then it grew bigger. Then it grew BIGGER!

“Let’s carry it inside,” said Papa. They pushed and pulled. The pumpkin did not move one bit.

Mrs Chen from next door came to help. Then the twins came. Then the whole street came! Push, push, ROLL!

That night, everybody shared a big pot of pumpkin soup. “Next year,” said Lucas, “let’s grow a small one.”
