Ama’s Mango Tree
Ama lived in a small village in Ghana. Next to her house stood a big mango tree.
One sunny morning, Ama saw that the mangoes were ripe. They were yellow and orange, and they smelled sweet. She picked a whole basket.
“I cannot eat all of these,” said Ama. So she shared them. She gave one to Grandma Esi, one to her friend Kwame and one to the baker.
That evening, Kwame came back with a bowl of groundnuts. Grandma Esi sang a happy song. The baker brought warm bread.
Ama smiled. “Sharing makes everything taste better!”
