More about this collection
Use the “three piles” method: cards you know, cards you nearly know and cards you do not know yet. Go through the hard pile every day, the middle pile every few days and the easy pile once a week. Short daily sessions beat one long cram.
Times-table flashcards suit primary children; vocabulary and science cards suit secondary students. Many cards can also be played on screen, which shuffles them for you. Testing yourself, even when it feels harder than re-reading, is one of the best-supported study techniques, and flashcards are the simplest way to do it. Five or ten minutes a day is enough to see real progress.
How to use these
- Print, cut along the lines and fold for front and back.
- Sort cards into three piles and review the hard pile daily.
- Make your own set from class notes in the Create tool.
