Maths Games for Kids: Play on Screen or Print

  • Ages 4–12
  • Free to print
  • Many play on screen

Maths practice sticks better when it feels like a game. Most sheets on Crayonbird can be played on screen: children answer, get instant feedback and collect stars, which turns ten sums into a small challenge. This collection gathers the most game-like ones: times-table drills, clock faces, number lines, comparing numbers, money and sudoku, plus printable number bingo and flashcards for playing together at the table.

More about this collection

Short rounds work best. Five minutes of times tables before dinner, a bingo game with the family on a Friday, a sudoku in the car. Repetition is what makes facts stick, and games make repetition bearable.

Every on-screen game gives children a result and stars at the end, and with a free parent or teacher account the results are saved, so you can see which skills are secure and which need another round. Games also take the pressure off: a wrong answer is just a turn in the game, not a red cross on a page, so anxious children often practise more happily this way.

How to use these

  1. Play one round on screen, then try to beat your score tomorrow.
  2. Print number bingo for two to six players: one person calls, everyone marks.
  3. Use flashcards for quick-fire times-table quizzes.
