More about this collection
Pack a clipboard or a hard book to lean on, a pencil case with a few pencils, and a mix of easy and harder pages. Hand them out one at a time rather than all at once. And print a bingo card for the car: the first to spot a red lorry, a cow and a bridge wins.
If your child gets travel-sick, colouring and close-up puzzles may make it worse. Choose spotting games, listening to stories or I spy out of the window instead, and save the paper activities for breaks and the hotel.
How to use these
- Use a clipboard so pages stay flat on a lap.
- Hand out one page at a time and keep some for the trip home.
- Print transport bingo cards for the whole car to play.
