More about this collection

The trick with screen-free time is to make the alternative easy to start. Keep a box with printed pages, crayons, scissors and glue where children can reach it. When boredom hits, they can choose for themselves, and boredom often turns into their most creative play.

Mix types to suit different moods: colouring when your child wants to relax, a maze or puzzle when they want a challenge, a drawing lesson or comic when they feel creative. Most pages are free, and many come in easy and harder versions, so one stack can work for siblings of different ages. Print once, enjoy many times.

How to use these

  1. Print a mixed stack and keep it in a box with pencils.
  2. Let children choose their own activity from the box.
  3. Swap in fresh pages every week so it stays new.
