It rained all morning in Linh’s town in Vietnam. When the rain stopped, there was a long puddle by the road.

Linh folded a little boat from blue paper. Her brother Minh drew a smiling face on it. They put the boat on the water, and it floated!

A breeze came and pushed the boat along. Linh and Minh ran beside it. The boat sailed past a leaf and a little stone.

Then a duck waddled over and looked at the boat. “Quack!” said the duck. Linh and Minh laughed. “Our boat has a new friend!”
