Level 2

What fraction of the pizza has topping?

Show the answer

Answer: 4/8

4 out of 8 slices: 4/8.

Count all the slices (8): that’s the bottom number. Count the slices with topping (4): that’s the top number.

Level 4

1/3 = ?/9. Find the missing number.

13=?9

Show the answer

Answer: 3

1/3 = 3/9, because 1 × 3 = 3 and 3 × 3 = 9.

3 × 3 = 9, so multiply the top number by 3 too.

The strategy behind it

Each level links to a short lesson that shows the trick step by step.
