Then the ducks swam behind the reeds. When they came out, Sofía counted again: “One, two, three, four…” Only four!

“Where is number five?” asked Sofía. They looked under the bench. They looked by the big tree. No duckling.

“Peep!” Out from under a lily pad popped the fifth little duckling.

Sofía laughed. “One, two, three, four, FIVE! Now everybody is here.”
